Chevrolet Motor And Transmission Mount Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to raise the front of the Chevrolet Camaro and remove the manual motor and transmission mount?
A: Raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Insert a large screwdriver or prybar between the mount and the transmission and pry up, ensuring the transmission does not move excessively away from the mount; if it does, replace the mount. Support the transmission with a floor jack, then remove the transmission support bolts and mount nuts before lowering the support down and out. Next, remove the mount-to-transmission bolts and take the mount off the transmission. Installation follows the reverse order of removal.
