  Q: How do you remove the Fuel Rail and Fuel Injectors on Chevrolet Trailblazer?

  A: First, relieve fuel system pressure and disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the intake manifold and clean the fuel rail/injector area. Disconnect the Fuel Pressure Regulator vacuum line, fuel injector harness connector, and fuel line fittings. Remove the fuel rail attaching bolts and free it from the cylinder head. Disconnect the electrical connector from the injector(s), remove the retaining clip(s), and remove the injector(s) from the fuel rail assembly. Replace the injector o-rings, lubricate them with clean engine oil, and press the injector into the fuel rail. Install the injector retaining clips and check the cylinder head injector holes for cleaning. After installation, check for fuel leakage. V8 Removal: Begin by relieving the fuel system pressure and disconnecting the negative battery cable. Remove the air intake duct and resonator, and disconnect any electrical connectors. Disconnect the accelerator cable and cruise control cable from the Throttle Body. Clean the fuel rail/injector area, disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors and remove the PCV valve and hose. Disconnect the fuel supply and return lines from the fuel rail. Remove the fuel rail mounting bolts, and remove the fuel rail and injectors as an assembly. Replace the injector o-rings, lubricate them with clean engine oil, and press the injector into the fuel rail. Install the injector retaining clips and place the injector and fuel rail assembly on the intake manifold. After installation, check for fuel leakage.
