Then, remove the setscrew located at the base of the mirror stalk. Slide the mirror upwards to remove it from its mount. If the mounting plate has come off the windshield, you can use adhesive kits to resecure it. Follow the instructions included with the kit, making sure to position the flanged part of the mount away from the glass and the narrower part pointing up.
