- Q: How to remove and install Clutch Disc,Pressure Plate and Release Bearing on GMC Canyon?A:The assumption for working on a clutch system is that the engine will remain in place and access to clutch components will be through removal of the transmission. For cases where the engine or transmission has been removed, it is advisable that unless they are new or in nearly perfect condition, replacing the clutch components which are relatively low-cost is recommended because it could be cheaper than accessing them.To start off, the transmission is taken out of the vehicle supporting an engine.
