How to remove brake calipers on GMC Sierra?

To remove the brake caliper, first loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and remove the wheel. Then, disconnect the brake hose from the caliper and plug it to prevent contamination. Remove the caliper mounting bolts and detach the caliper from the bracket. When removing a rear caliper on a 1500 model, hold the slide pins with a wrench to prevent them from turning. To install, use new sealing washers and tighten the fitting bolt and caliper mounting bolts to the specified torque. Bleed the brake system and check for leaks before resuming normal driving.

Q: How to remove brake calipers on GMC Sierra?
A:
To remove the brake caliper, first loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and remove the wheel. Then, disconnect the brake hose from the caliper and plug it to prevent contamination. Remove the caliper mounting bolts and detach the caliper from the bracket. When removing a rear caliper on a 1500 model, hold the slide pins with a wrench to prevent them from turning.
