The turn signal and hazard flasher relay on certain vehicles is handled by the Body Control Module (BCM). If a bulb on one side of the vehicle flashes faster than normal while the other bulb on the same side doesn't light up, it's likely that the non-flashing bulb is faulty and needs to be replaced. If none are flashing, replace the Body Control Module.

How do you remove the turn signal/hazard flasher/multi-function switch on Chevrolet Avalanche,Silverado,Suburban,Tahoe,GMC Sierra,Yukon,Yukon Denali and Yukon XL?

First, remove the steering wheel and the upper and lower steering column covers. Next, disconnect the electrical connectors from the turn signal/hazard flasher/turn signal switch using a screwdriver to disengage the locking tabs. Then, remove the turn signal/hazard flasher/turn signal switch mounting screws and remove the switch. Also, the installation is the reverse of removal.
