Disconnect the battery ground cable, then disconnect the clutch pedal return spring if a manual transmission is fitted. Remove the clip retainer from the push rod pin that travels through the pedal arm, followed by removing the nut from the pedal shaft bolt and sliding the shaft out far enough to clear the brake pedal arm. The brake pedal can now be removed along with the spacer and bushing, while the clutch pedal, if equipped, will remain in place. During installation, lubricate the spacer and bushings with brake lube and tighten the pivot nut to specifications.
