If flexible mounts are inspected and seen to be hard, split or separated from the metal backing then they must be replaced something that can be achieved with the engine/Transmission still in the car. For front mounts, first of all, to remove the through-bolt and nut with the help of a spanner. Then, with the aid of hoist or jack place the engine slightly up and using wood plank place it under the oil pan and then unbolt the mount and bracket assembly from the frame. Attach the new mount in co-ordinate with the through-bolt and nut as shown and tighten all the bolts to the required torque. For the rear mount, the bolts which through the mount and into the transmission must be unscrewed, and at the same time, the transmission must be lifted slightly using a jack. Take out the mount with all the shims spacers or brackets and then fix this new mount. After that, lower the transmission and align the bolts before overtightening all the bolts to the required torque.
