How to remove and straighten the antenna on the right front fender on Pontiac Fiero?

The antenna on the right front fender is a rigid one and cannot be adjusted either up or downwards. If it gets slightly bent, by use of hand, it can be straightened but if it is heavily bent, it means that it needs replacement. To retract the antenna mast, simply unscrew the antenna for the removal of the mast you need to loosen the retaining nut. With reference to figure 4, normally after the mast has been dismantled, one can un-bolt the antenna body and cable assembly from the fender.
