  Q: How to remove the radiator on Pontiac G5?

  First unplug the negative battery connector, lift the vehicle and use jackstands to hold it in place, and on 2.2L engines take off the air cleaner outlet resonator. Empty the coolant system, keeping your old fluid since it's still good. Take off the cooling fan(s) from their shroud assembly while working in the left fender. Cut the plastic well liner off so you can see, then disconnect the oil cooler's tubes from around the radiator. To remove the upper and lower radiator hoses, squeeze the ends of the hose clamp to loosen it. If the hose is stuck, hold the hose close to its end with pliers, twist to break the seal, or cut it off if damaged or old. There are three bolts you need to remove on each end of the radiator, connecting it to the lower mounting brackets. Pull the condenser down while loosening its bolts, then pull the intercooler down and take out the bolts joining them to the radiator. Be very careful when you take out the radiator, making sure to leave enough room for both coolant and paint to stay safe. Check the rubber pieces that support the radiator for cracks and dirt, and put the radiator back in place by following the steps you used to remove it-but in reverse order-then top up your cooling system with the right mix of antifreeze and water. First connect the battery, start the engine to spot leaks, wait for it to reach standard running temp (as shown by a hot upper radiator hose), then check and replace the coolant if necessary. Lastly (when suitable), examine and fill the automatic gearshift with the correct fluids.
