- Q: How do you remove the Spindle and Trailing Arm?A: To remove the rear trailing arm components, start by loosening the rear wheel lug nuts and blocking the front wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling. Then, raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands before removing the rear wheels. For the upper Control Arm, disconnect the harness connector for the wheel speed sensor and remove the mounting bolt and nut. Remove the arm from the vehicle and inspect the bushings for deterioration. If needed, replace the bushings at an automotive machine shop. To install, reverse the removal steps and tighten the fasteners to the correct torque specifications.
