- Q: How to remove the antenna mast and cable on Saturn ION?A:If you want to remove the cable and antenna mast in different models, go through these procedures.-For Cobalt/GS models: unscrew its mounting base to disconnect it from the antenna mast. The installation is a reversal of removing this item.-In HHR models, open liftgate and take away back headliner trim panel. To get rid of the bolt used for mounting the antenna located on this part, pull down rear side of headliner carefully. After that, take off antenna base while disconnecting cable. Installation is reverse of removal.-When removing antennae bases and cables, ION models have their front fender removed; Remove antenna mount bracket nuts and then remove both the mounting brackets together with cable attachment points; Reinstalling or fixing it follows the same process of taking it out.
