Saturn LS1 Antenna

The Saturn LS1 Antenna provides you with clear reception from the radio by efficiently converting the invisible radio waves into the electric signals that your sound system requires. Using a small array of conductive elements with sizes tuned to common broadcast wavelengths, this Antenna accepts incoming waves, conducts the current to the receiver in the dashboard, and in reverse can radiate signals from a transmitter if the car is equipped with one. Early LS1 sedans were based on a fixed mast Antenna mounted near the rear glass, valued for the omnidirectional pickup, useful for everyday commuting. Later, Saturn replaced the same model with a shorter and more streamlined whip Antenna, which reduced wind noise and retained the broad reception pattern, so drivers did not have to adjust orientation when changing direction. Both styles work by the same principle discovered by Hertz of intercepting part of the broadcast energy and feeding it through shielded cabling to the head unit where amplification brings music and news to life. Because the physical length is close to a half-wavelength of FM signals, each LS1 whip makes maximum efficiency without cumbersome add-ons and is strategically positioned on the body in such a way that metal panels do not interfere with the radiation pattern. As a result, Saturn drivers enjoy reliable coverage in cities and along open highways, proving that the compact Antenna can deliver big performance.

Each OEM Saturn LS1 Antenna we offer is competitively priced and comes with the assurance of the manufacturer's warranty for the part. Furthermore, we guarantee the speedy delivery of your orders right to your doorstep. Our hassle-free return policy is also in place for your peace of mind.

Saturn LS1 Antenna Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove the antenna from sedans and station wagons on Saturn LS1?
    A:
To even dismantle the antenna from sedans, one has to unscrew the antenna mast from its base and then have it pulled out. Locate the access panel for the vehicle jack, it is usually on the left side of the trunk and get rid of the jack. COOL Next, remove the Antenna Mounting Bracket Nuts and pull the Antenna and Mounting Bracket Assembly through the hole in the rear quarter panel. Remove the connection between the interior lead of the antenna and also the lead of the antenna base. During installation, the process should be done beginning from the last step you made during the removal process. However, before that, first of all unscrew the Antenna mast from its base and pull it off. To get to the antenna mounting base you have to take off the rear headliner molding and lowering the rear portion of the headliner. As with sedans, for the station wagons one has to unclip the coaxial plug located at the base and then remove the big wingnut. Pull out the coaxial cable from the connector connected to the base lead of the antenna, unscrew the large nut on the base of the roofing mounting and take off the base. Installation is done in reverse order of the way it is removed.
