Saturn Outlook Radiator fan

When natural airflow to the Saturn Outlook's front radiator is insufficient, the Radiator fan pulls air through the radiator to keep engine heat in check. The Radiator fan is installed behind the grille just adjacent to the radiator core. It comes into action when a vehicle crawls in traffic or stands still, which takes the place of the wind that normally cools the fins and coolant tubes when the vehicle moves at a high speed. The modern units have an electric motor that spins only when a sensor demands more cooling. They are quieter and thus more fuel efficient. In contrast, the early Saturn units applied belt-driven mechanical units where engine speed controlled Radiator fan output. Every assembly incorporates a sturdy mounting shroud, contoured fan blade, and reliable motor which directs airflow exactly across the radiator surface. This allows the Radiator fan to swiftly reduce the temperature of the coolant before returning to the powerplant. Steady operating temperatures help prevent overheating, allowing the Saturn engine to deliver consistent performance and ensuring each Outlook on the road has a long life. In all model years of the Outlook, the purpose of the Radiator fan is the same, and so the primary design difference for Outlook owners is the shift from mechanical to electric style.

Each OEM Saturn Outlook Radiator fan we offer is competitively priced and comes with the assurance of the manufacturer's warranty for the part. Furthermore, we guarantee the speedy delivery of your orders right to your doorstep. Our hassle-free return policy is also in place for your peace of mind.

Saturn Outlook Radiator fan Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and install the radiator fan assembly on Saturn Outlook?
    A:
To remove the front bumper cover and hood latch, detach any electrical connectors from the bumper support and remove the front bumper impact absorber. Then, remove the two Radiator upper mounting brackets and tilt the radiator and condenser forward for additional access. Disconnect the Radiator fan electrical connectors and remove the two fan shroud-to-radiator bolts and fasteners. Lift the radiator fan assembly from the lower radiator mounts and out of the engine compartment. To detach the fan motor from the shroud, remove the screws. To detach the fan blade from the motor, remove the motor shaft clip or bolt, depending on the design. For installation, simply reverse the steps of removal. Finally, run the engine to normal operating temperature and operate the air conditioning to ensure the radiator fans operate properly.
