The turn signal switches, also called the combination or the steering column switches, are made up of two electrical components linked to a central support organized in a circular structure around the car's steering column known as the switch bracket, such that the two units can be substituted individually. Start by removing the cable by pulling it on the negative terminal of the battery. Then, it is required to take off both upper and lower steering column covers. To remove either turn signal switch, one is required to push in on the lock tabs and pull the switch out from its position. In order to detach the wiring, the electric connectors that are present at the side of the turn signal switches should be removed by lifting the switch out. The last step is the installation process whereby the switch is placed back by snapping on the surface.
