To remove the control arm, start by loosening the front wheel lug nuts and raising the front of the vehicle.

To remove the upper control arm, start by loosening the wheel lug nuts and raising the vehicle on jackstands. Remove the wheel and detach the ABS wheel speed sensor harness clips from the control arm. Support the lower control arm with a floor jack and remove the upper control arm-to-knuckle nut and bolt, as well as the inner pivot bolt. Finally, remove the upper control arm from the knuckle and subframe. For the lower control arm, remove the coil spring and mark the position of the adjuster cam to the subframe before unscrewing the nut. Remove the control arm-to-subframe pivot bolt and detach the arm from the subframe. To remove the trailing arm, detach the ABS wheel speed sensor harness if applicable and unbolt the lower control arm from the rear knuckle. Remove the trailing arm-to-knuckle bolts and the trailing arm bracket-to-body bolts, then remove the trailing arm. Lastly, for the adjuster link, detach the ABS wheel speed sensor harness if applicable and scribe an alignment mark on the adjuster link adjuster cam to the subframe. Remove the adjuster link-to-knuckle nut and unscrew the nut and cam, then remove the pivot bolt. Remove the adjuster link from the knuckle and subframe. To install these components, follow the reverse steps of removal, ensuring to use new bolts and tightening them to the proper torque specifications. Finally, install the wheel, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts to the correct torque specifications. Have the wheel alignment checked and adjusted if necessary.
