- A:A two-speed wiper motor is installed as standard equipment and includes the gear train and self-parking mechanism. The wiper arms will only park when the motor is operating in low speed. The drive from the wiper motor to the wiper arms is achieved through a crank arm and a strut to the transmission shafts. The windshield wiper motor on all models also serves as the drive system for the windshield washers. There are two types of windshield wiper assemblies depending on the vehicle model.
