For 263 and 350 Oldsmobile Diesel Engines, removing the camshaft requires the removal of the injection pump drive and driven gears, intake manifold, valve lifters, and re-timing of the injection pump. Discharge the air conditioning system if equipped. Remove the camshaft and gears, ensuring proper alignment and replacing both gears if necessary. Lubricate the camshaft and cam bearings, then carefully slide the camshaft back into position. Realign and install the gears, injection pump, and remaining components in reverse order, following specific guidelines for end-play adjustments and timing.
