The Evaporative Emission Control (EVAP) system in a vehicle is designed to capture and store fuel vapors from the fuel tank and intake manifold. If diagnosed, component replacement, such as the EVAP canister purge valve, EVAP vent valve, EVAP canister, or fuel tank pressure sensor, can usually be performed at home following the appropriate removal and installation procedures.
