- A:To install the steering knuckle, position it in the strut and insert the two bolts with the bolt heads pointing towards the front of the vehicle. Tap the bolts into place and install the nuts without tightening them. Install the driveaxle in the hub, then connect the control arm and tie-rod end to the steering knuckle and tighten the nuts to the specified torque.
