A:
To remove the throttle body, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal. Then, remove the air intake duct and disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle body. Next, remove the throttle body mounting fasteners and carefully lift off the throttle body, discarding the old gasket. Cover the intake manifold opening with a clean shop towel. For installation, use a new gasket and tighten the throttle body fasteners to the proper torque specifications. To perform the idle relearn procedure, start the engine and let it idle for three minutes. After that, turn off the engine for one minute and then start it again, allowing it to idle for another three minutes. If the engine does not idle properly, drive the vehicle above 44 mph, decelerate and accelerate several times, and then stop the vehicle and turn off the engine for one minute. Finally, clear any trouble codes that may have been set.
