To remove the A/C switch in 2009 and earlier models, start by turning the ignition key to the ON position and turning the temperature control knob to the extreme cold position. Then, disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and remove the instrument panel center bezel. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the rear of the unit and unclip the cable from the temperature control knob. Next, remove the four mounting screws for the A/C switch and separate it from the trim. For installation, simply reverse the removal steps, making sure to install the cable connector when the control knob is in the extreme cold position. For 2010 and later models, begin by disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal. Remove the center dash trim panel/radio/air control panel and disconnect the electrical connectors to the radio/air control panel assembly. Then, remove the upper trim panel from the instrument panel. Disengage the control assembly module retaining clips and pull out the control module from the instrument panel. To install, follow the reverse of the removal steps.
