How to remove the A/C switch on Chevrolet Equinox?

To remove the A/C switch, begin by turning the ignition key to the ON position and turning the temperature control knob to the cold position. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and remove the instrument panel center bezel. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the rear of the unit and unclip the cable from the temperature control knob. Remove the mounting screws for the A/C switch and separate it. For installation, reverse the removal steps, making sure to install the cable connector when the control knob is in the extremely cold position. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove the center dash trim panel/radio/air control panel and disconnect the electrical connectors to the radio/air control panel assembly. Remove the upper trim panel. Disengage the control assembly module retaining clips and pull out the control module from the instrument panel. Installation is the reverse of removal.
