- A:Start by turning the ignition key to the ON position and turning the temperature control knob to the extreme cold position. Then, disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and remove the instrument panel center bezel. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the rear of the unit and unclip the cable from the temperature control knob.
