- A:Based on the modular design of the window regulator, the Door Latch Assembly can be removed along with the window regulator module by disconnecting the electrical connector and detaching the rods. The outside handle can be removed by removing the bolt cover and bolt, or by unclipping the lock trim cover and using a hooked tool to hold the bellcrank lever in the partially opened position while removing the handle. The door lock cylinder can be removed by releasing the retaining clip and pushing the lock out of the handle frame, then detaching the rod and removing the lock.
