These models are equipped with a Body Control Module (BCM) that links several systems for simple and accurate troubleshooting using a professional-grade scan tool. The BCM controls door locks, power windows, ignition lock and security system, interior lights, Daytime Running lights, horn, windshield wipers, heating/air conditioning, and power mirrors. For any malfunctions, it is recommended to have the vehicle diagnosed by a qualified automotive repair facility. The electric rear view mirrors utilize two motors for adjustments, with some vehicles featuring memory mirrors integrated with the power seat memory unit and the BCM. If issues arise, it is advisable to consult a qualified repair facility or local dealer. The control switch sends voltage to the left or right side mirror; with the ignition in the ACC position and the engine off, roll down the windows and operate the mirror control switch in all directions. Listen for the sound of the electric motors; if they are audible but the mirror glass does not move, the drive mechanism may be faulty, necessitating a complete mirror replacement. If there is no sound from the mirrors, check the fuses. If the fuses are intact, remove the mirror control switch and have its continuity checked. Additionally, inspect the ground connections. If the mirror remains inoperative, remove it and check for voltage at the wires. If voltage is absent in each switch position, examine the circuit for opens and shorts. Holding the switch while swinging the door open and closed may help identify any breaks in the door jamb. If voltage is present, test the mirror off the vehicle with jumper wires, ensuring to use the correct leads as per the wiring diagram to avoid damaging the mirror drive motors. Replace the mirror if it fails this test.

For outside mirrors on 2015 and earlier models, remove the front door interior sail panel, while for 2016 and later models, the door trim panel should be removed. Next, take out the foam insulator if present, disconnect the electrical connector, and remove the mirror mounting bolts. Detach the mirror by removing the three retaining bolts. Installation follows the reverse order of removal. For mirror glass, push the face of the mirror in at the bottom until it reaches the stop, then insert a trim removal tool behind the glass to pry it outward carefully until it is free. Install the mirror glass and align it with the backing plate, applying pressure with a thick pad until it clicks into place. For the inside mirror, carefully pry the trim panel off the mirror base, loosen the retaining screw, and slide the mirror off its base, disconnecting the electrical connector if equipped. Reinstallation is the reverse of removal, ensuring the screw is tightened securely. If the mount plate has come off the windshield, adhesive kits are available at auto parts stores for re-securing it, following the included instructions.
