- Q:How to remove and install a heater blower motor? Posted by Customer
- A:Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. While working in the engine compartment, disconnect the wires at the lower motor and resistor. To remove the heater blower motor, remove the mounting bolts, the motor and resistor wires and the cooling tube. Disconnect the blower motor cooling tube. On some models, it may be necessary to disconnect the radio capacitor to allow for the removal of the blower motor. Remove the blower motor mounting bolts and separate the motor/cage assembly from the case. While holding the cage, remove the cage retaining nut and slide the cage off the motor shaft. Remove the nut to separate the cage from the blower motor shaft. The installation process is the reverse of the removal procedure.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
