- A:To remove the antenna mast, simply unscrew it using a wrench. The installation process is the reverse of removal. To remove the antenna mast mounting base and cable, first remove the antenna mast and cowl cover, then unbolt the mounting base and remove the top trim panel from the instrument panel. Disconnect the antenna mast cable from the extension cable and attach a wire to the old cable to pull it out through the grommet below the mounting base. To install the new cable, attach it to the wire and pull it back through the grommet. To remove the antenna extension cable, the instrument panel must be removed.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
