- A:To replace the printed circuit on the instrument cluster, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable. Then, remove the instrument cluster and place it on a clean workbench. Twist each of the illumination bulbs out of their sockets and remove the gauge securing nuts. Lift the printed circuit off the rear of the instrument cluster. Next, place the new printed circuit into position, securing it with the illumination bulbs and gauge nuts.
