For installation, simply reverse the removal process.

If there is no voltage at the mirror wires, you should check the ground connections and test the wires at the mirror for voltage.

If the mounting plate has come off the windshield, you can use adhesive kits to resecure it. Follow the instructions included with the kit, making sure to position the flanged part of the mount away from the glass and the narrower part pointing up.

The electric rearview mirrors in vehicles use two motors to adjust the glass, one for up and down movements and one for left-right adjustments. Some vehicles also have memory mirrors that are connected to the power seat memory unit and the Body Control Module (BCM). To troubleshoot any issues with the mirrors, start by operating the mirror control switch through all functions while listening for the sound of the electric motors running. If the motors can be heard but the mirror glass doesn't move, there may be a problem with the drive mechanism inside the mirror, which requires replacing the entire mirror unit. If there is no sound coming from the mirrors, check the fuses and the continuity of the mirror control switch. Additionally, check the ground connections and test the wires at the mirror for voltage. If there is no voltage, check the circuit between the mirror and control switch for any opens or shorts. If there is voltage, remove the mirror and test it off the vehicle with jumper wires, making sure to use the correct leads as indicated in the wiring diagram. If the mirror fails this test, it should be replaced.
