- Q:How do you remove the front blower motor, rear auxiliary blower motor, front blower motor control module, and rear auxiliary blower motor module? Posted by Customer
- A:To remove the front blower motor, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Then, remove the trim panel screws under the instrument panel on the passenger's side and lower the panel. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor and remove the mounting screws to lower the motor from the housing. For installation, simply reverse the removal steps. To remove the rear auxiliary blower motor, remove the right-side quarter trim panels from the right rear of the vehicle to access the rear HVAC unit. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor and remove the retaining screws to pull the motor from the case. Installation is the reverse of removal. To remove the front blower motor control module, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Then, remove the trim panel screws under the instrument panel on the passenger's side and lower the panel. Use a screwdriver or pick to unclip the module retainer from the cover and disconnect the control module harness connector. Maneuver the control module out from the blower housing. Installation is the reverse of removal. To remove the rear auxiliary blower motor module, remove the right rear quarter trim panel and disconnect the control module harness connector. Remove the control module mounting screws and separate the module from the blower housing. Installation is the reverse of removal.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
