- Q:How do you remove the regulator or dampener from the fuel rail? Posted by Customer
- A:To remove the regulator or dampener from the fuel rail, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Next, relieve the fuel system pressure and clean the regulator/dampener area to prevent contamination. Then, remove the snap-ring securing the regulator or dampener to the fuel rail and carefully take it out. When installing the new regulator or dampener, coat the new O-rings with clean engine oil and slide it into place. Make sure to install the snap-ring securely. To complete the installation, reconnect the cable to the negative battery terminal and turn the ignition switch to ON (without operating the starter) to activate the fuel pump and build up fuel pressure.
