- Q:How do I remove the blower motor resistor and blower motor? Posted by Customer
- A:To remove the blower motor resistor, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal. Then, remove the lower insulator panel below the passenger's side instrument panel and disconnect the electrical connector at the blower motor resistor. Release the clip securing the resistor and pull it out of the heater housing. For the blower motor removal, begin by removing the glove box and disconnecting the blower motor electrical connector. Cut the plastic blower motor housing between the two concentric rings and lower the blower motor and its housing. If the motor needs to be replaced, remove the screws securing the blower motor cover and the two mounting nuts securing the old motor to the housing. Insert a screwdriver in the opening on the side of the motor housing to release the tab holding the motor and withdraw the old motor. To install, follow the reverse steps of removal and reconnect the battery.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
