To remove the front or rear wheel, turn the front or rear wheel lug nuts loosening them, raise the front or rear of the vehicle and place it on jackstands and block the wheel on the opposite end. For the brake hose remove the inlet fitting bolt and remove the old sealing washers and then fit a new washer before refitting the inlet fitting bolt. This is done to avoid the chance of having contaminants and air get into the brake system and also to reduce fluid losses. If it is only necessary to access the other components keep the brake hose connected and suspend the calipers with wire in a fashion that does not apply pressure to the brake hose. To accomplish this, the user has to take the caliper mounting bolts, which require an open-end wrench for rear calipers to secure the slide pins, thus not allowing the latter to rotate. For installation reverse the removal procedures use new sealing washers on either side of the brake hose inlet fitting with tightening the fitting bolt and the caliper mounting bolts to the required torque. Top up the brake system if you had to disconnect the brake hose, inspect the hose connection for leakage and test the brakes gently before taking the car back on road.
