Q:
How to disconnect and remove the blower motor, drain the radiator, and replace the power steering pump on V6 engine? Posted by Customer
A:
Disconnect the negative battery terminal first, then disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor. After that, remove the blower motor. Proceed to drain the radiator and disconnect the heater hose at the water pump. Disconnect the pressure and return hoses at the connections. Loosen the pump mounting bolts, move the pump toward the engine and remove the belt from the pulley. Remove the 5 bolts that secure the right pump bracket to the pump and rear engine head. Take out the pump from the left pump bracket and remove it from the engine compartment. If the power steering pump needs replacing, a rebuilt unit can be obtained and is less expensive than a new pump. Install the pump by reversing the removal procedure. Adjust the belt tension and bleed the power steering system.
