MAP sensor is installed on the top of the intake manifold behind the throttle body on its left side. Start by disconnecting the electrical connection and taking off the mounting bolt, then get the sensor off the manifold in an upward motion. Remove the sealing grommet situated in the sensor to check the condition of the sealing grommet; you are able to notice crack, tearing, or wearing of the sealing grommet then it has to be replaced. When fitting the new sensor use a little cleaning engine oil on the grommet to avoid tearing of the grommet. The installation process cannot be done otherwise but after the removal process has been done in the reverse order. Also, it is possible to take off the intake manifold cover and, once again, disconnect the electrical connector. To do it, unbolt the MAP sensor retainer, and gently pull on both ends of the retainer to snap it off and free the sensor. If access is possible, you may remove an old grommet; examine it and replace if necessary. Make sure that the retainer fits well in the installation process and this procedure is done in the reverse of the removal process.
