  • Q: How to remove and install an air cleaner assembly?
    A: Detach the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Separately detach the air filter box and remove intake duct. Undo nuts or wing nut to do away with cover for air filter box. Remove the air filter housing and gasket situated between it and adapter. Get rid of old gasket. Make sure you take out paper in between new gasket before you fix. If you are installing a different unit, fixing is done opposite to removal. Discard the old gasket if you are planning to replace TBI and Intake Manifold, cylinder head etc. Solution: evaporative loss control systems use various designs (Perez et al., 2004). Remove the intake manifold on one side of vehicle Disconnecting vacuum hoses or electrical wiring from any components still attached to unit Remove a few bolts that hold bracket onto engine Support engine properly with jack while removing only enough bolts to allow bracket's removal Disconnecting fuel lines (if equipped) from Throttle Body After fuel rail bracket is removed, proceed to lift regulator off fuel rail Remove pressure cap Carefully remove injector assembly by lifting straight up out of lower intake manifold installation is reverse of removal For example, in IC engines, external EGR valve, internal EGR valve and IAC valves can be used (Perez et al., 2004). It is advisable not to remove any wires at this stage because they can be easily broken Unbolt four nuts which secure camshaft cover Be careful when removing camshaft cover as it may have sharp edges When all seals have been replaced Install spark plug tube seal so it rests flush with top edge of cylinder head Using special tools install front crankshaft oil seal Drive axle bolts must be tightened following sequence provided Retighten tie rod nut until there is no free play Check swivel pins for wear Tighten bearing caps alternately until bearing caps contact cylinder block Oil pump drive gear can now be installed Set number one piston at TDC Verify that brake disc turns freely Brake pedal must be depressed to check brake booster operation Check the operation of the air suspension system for components that need replacement Make sure that all connections are good before moving on carefully plug in the harness Take out the mounting nuts which hold switch to dash panel.
