Loosen the front or rear wheel lug nuts, then raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands while applying the parking brake and blocking the opposite wheels to prevent rolling. Remove the wheels, then detach the Sway Bar Link from the bar and lower
Control Arm, ensuring to hold the ballstud with a wrench if it turns with the nut. Unbolt the Sway Bar Bushing brackets and take the Sway Bar Kit out of the vehicle. While the bar is off, slide off the retainer bushings and inspect them for cracks, wear, or deterioration, replacing them if necessary. Clean the bushing area of the Sway Bar Kit with a stiff wire brush to remove rust or dirt. Lubricate the inside and outside of the new bushing with vegetable oil to facilitate reassembly, avoiding petroleum or mineral-based lubricants or brake fluid to prevent deterioration. Finally, reassemble by reversing the removal steps and tightening the fasteners to the specified torque values.
