To remove the components, one has pull out the wheel lug nut on the side that will be dismantled and then lift the vehicle and secure it on a jackstands before removing the wheel. Then, remove the locking hub on 4WD models or the end cap on 2WD models, and then the front driveaxle snap-ring and washer. Then, unscrew the brake caliper and position it to the side using a wire to ensure that it does not fall off, also; pull out the brake disc. Remove the nut of the stabilizer bar joint and thereby unbolt the joint rearwards from the lower control arm and unbolt the tie-rod end from the steering knuckle. Lift the car laterally and place it on a stand, then insert a jack to lift the lower suspension arm and finally remove the steering knuckle. Gradually release the jack until the entire length of the coil spring is deployed, and then remove the coil spring. For installation, guide the small diameter end of the coil spring up into the upper pocket and have the larger diameter end rest on the spring seat area of the control arm. The rest of the installation process is opposite to the disassembly process in order the verification that all the fasteners are tightened to the correct torque.
