Start your repair with removing the radiator grille from Chevrolet Avalanche, Suburban, and Tahoe. After loosening the wheel's lug nuts, lift the car with jackstands and take out the front wheel along with the fender well liner's front eye. Pull the electrical attachment of the light housing free simply by pressing on the detent and yanking it off. Only partially loosen the lower outside bolt holding the headlight housing, then fully remove the two upper bolts. When installing, lead the electric motor gently out, making sure the two pins on the housing fit in the front fender bracket holes. Before working on Avalanche, Suburban, and Tahoe models, remove the front wheel and fender well liner. Take the two upper headlight housing bolts out, detach the bumper cover while also removing the lower headlight housing bolt. Hold the headlight cage near its top inside and bottom outside, then push it straight forward to let go of the locating pins attached to the fender panel and radiator bracket. Before taking off, separate the electrical part from the light unit. Undo the installation steps, and align the headlights while you're done.
