First, remove the door, trim panel, and water deflector on 1975 and newer cars. Start by disconnecting the bolt linking the inside locking rod before removing it where it connects to the lock. Use adhesive tape to keep the window locked tightly in its completely upward position, by attaching it to the glass and wrapping it around the window frame. Take out the pin using an appropriate punch tool. Then use a 1/4ole-sized drill to remove the four attaching rivets. Take the regulator lift arm roller out from where it connects with the lower sash channel cam, and lift the entire regulator unit through a large opening in the frame. Screw the new regulator onto the inner panel by placing a J-nut on top of each connection hole in the back plate, then use nuts and screws to attach it.
