First, take out the refrigerant with the SEER system from every car built between 2010 and now. Unscrew the lights above the left side of the car. Also remove nuts holding refrigerant tubes to the condenser, and cover all places where tubes were connected to block dust from entering. After that, use the clamp mounting bolt to take off the A/C accumulator before lifting it out. To work on vehicles from 2008 and newer, first you need to detach the front bumper cover. On 2010 and newer models, start by removing the bolts holding the air baffle in place, then take off the round protective shields around the front of the condenser. Start by removing the top A/C accumulator mounting clamp bolt, then flip it to the bottom recessed bolt hole, and maneuver the A/C accumulator straight up and free from the engine space. Set back together in the right way, putting fresh O-ring seals on the A/C accumulator connections and spreading a wee bit of refrigerant oil on the seals. If you install a new A/C accumulator, place 1 ounce (30 ml) of fresh coolant oil into the system. When installing on cars made after 2008, first tighten the bottom bolt that holds the A/C accumulator in place to the correct torque amount, then secure the top clamp bolt. End this work with the shop that discharged the refrigerant rechecking their job: evacuating, filling, and making sure there are no leaks.
