Since the coil spring requires some stress during part of the removal and installation process, correct tools should be employed, and care taken, and it would be advisable to employ a chain to keep the coil spring on the lower
Control Arm as and when necessary. Start with lifting the front part of the car and placing the jack stands on the fame so that the suspension arms should not touch the ground. Then the
Shock Absorber can be unattached, then the wheel as well. Unbolt the stabilizer bar from the lower control arm, if it is not bent or twisted, leave it connected at the frame brackets. This being the case, now compress the spring with an appropriate coil spring compressor tool until there is freedom on its seat, then take off the two lower control arm pivot bolt to release the control arm from the frame. To get the spring out, do this gently, and pay attention to some aspects such as the compressed height of the spring and the curves involved before you release pressure. For installation apply the tool and compress the spring in the same manner as was done during its removal then fit the spring on the control arm and follow the removal process in the vice versa manner making sure that the nuts and bolts are tightened to the right torque.
