Before pulling off intake manifold, to carry out the following steps; switch off the car, relieve fuel system pressure, disconnect the negative terminal from the battery. Then, take out the throttle body and also the EVAP tube fitted to the intake manifold and the canister Purge solenoid valve. Before 2006, on 4-cylinder models, remove the PCV hose connected to the intake manifold. Go ahead and pull off the fuel rail, disconnect brake booster vacuum hose and any other vacuum hoses connected to the intake manifold should be disconnected on this step also it's easier to identify it with a piece of tape so that they will be reused in the same position. Loosen the dipstick tube mounting bolt and pull the dipstick to the side then unplug all the wiring harness from the clips at the intake manifold. Undo the intake manifold mounting bolts and nuts and pull of the intake manifold off the cylinder head. For installation clean off all previous gasket material and remove oil and dirt with cloth and solvent. If necessary, a new gasket should be fitted into the engine; place the manifold over the studs on the cylinder head and tighten the bolts and nuts in a sequence beginning in the centre and moving outwardwards with the appropriate torque. The rest of the process is the inverse of the removal process described above; Finally reconnect the battery and crank over the engine to cheek for vacuum and fuel leakages.
