Saturn Vue Horn

The Saturn Vue Horn emits a clear, dependable signal that allows the motorist to alert other vehicles and pedestrians to the SUV. The Horn is placed behind the front grille and is wired directly to the steering wheel switch through a relay. This allows for any quick press to close the circuit and send full battery power to the diaphragm. The diaphragm vibrates rapidly to produce either the deep dual-note honk found in earlier years or the brighter single-note beep applied in later releases, letting owners duplicate their Saturn's factory sound. Both options feature the same brackets and two-wire plugs, which makes swaps simple and does not require any rewiring, even with the tone change. As a result, from the start of the life of the compact crossover, Vue owners only faced a choice of pitch, not fitment, for the replacement of a failed Horn. Federal regulations stipulate that every road vehicle must have a functioning Horn. Thus, Saturn made the basic Horn hardware common to all, ensuring that both operation and replacement remain dependable and straightforward. The continuity of this part allows for a quick installation of a new Vue unit, restoring full-volume performance in minutes with common hand tools.

Each OEM Saturn Vue Horn we offer is competitively priced and comes with the assurance of the manufacturer's warranty for the part. Furthermore, we guarantee the speedy delivery of your orders right to your doorstep. Our hassle-free return policy is also in place for your peace of mind.

Saturn Vue Horn Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: What steps should be taken before beginning electrical diagnosis for a horn on Saturn Vue?
    A:
Before beginning electrical diagnosis, check the fuses. First, disconnect the electrical connector from the horn. To test the horn, connect battery voltage to the horn terminal with a jumper wire; if the horn doesn't sound, replace it. If the horn does sound, check for voltage at the terminal when the horn button is depressed. If there's voltage at the terminal, check for a bad ground at the horn. If there's no voltage at the horn, check the Relay located in the under hood fuse/relay box. If the relay is functioning, check for voltage to the relay power and control circuits; if either circuit is not receiving voltage, inspect the wiring between the relay and the fuse panel. If both relay circuits are receiving voltage, depress the horn button and check the circuit from the relay to the horn pad for continuity to ground. If there's no continuity, check the circuit for an open; if there's no open circuit, replace the horn pad, which is an integral component of the driver's airbag module. If there's continuity to ground through the horn button, check for an open or short in the circuit from the relay to the horn. For replacement, remove the left Headlight housing to access the horn, which can also be reached by removing the left front inner fender splash shield. Disconnect the horn wiring and remove the horn, then installation is the reverse of removal.
