Remove the connecting cable from the negative terminal of the battery then unbolt the two screws to pull off the upper and lower steering column covers. Remove and stop the retaining tabs of park lock cable and pull out the cable from lock cylinder housing. While the vehicle is off insert the ignition key into the Ignition Lock Cylinder and turn it to the 'Run' position. With the key in the Run position gently push a pick or any small tool to press in the release button which is in the back part of the Ignition Lock Cylinder housing and then extract the lock cylinder. Before fixing the lock cylinder, turn the ignition switch to the 'Run' position: if it is not in the position, turn it to the appropriate position. Place the lock cylinder into the housing so that the switch engages and the cylinder clicks, then check the functionality of the ignition switch in every position. For removal, only detach the steering wheel, both multi-function switches, but do not separate the wiring. Disconnect the two electrical connectors from the ignition switch, then unscrew the housing bolts, arrange the key in a position that turns the switch to 'on,' after which the assembly is slid off the steering column. Disconnect the ignition switch by unscrewing the ignition switch screws on the housing. To install you crank the ignition switch to ACC, put it into the housing and tighten the screws properly. Slot the lock cylinder housing over the steering column, align the multi-function lever bracket with the holes and bolt in, engaging the lock tab. Perform a final threading of the lower and upper mounting bolts and afterwards, make sure that they are as tight as possible to the required torque. The rest of the installation, in fact, will just go in the opposite order as the removal steps that were taken.
