  A: Begin by loosening the front wheel lug nuts and raising the front of the vehicle on jack stands, in order to remove the rack and pinion. Remove the wheels and mark where the intermediate shaft is relative to the steering shaft U-joint. The pinch bolt has to be removed first; then you can go ahead and separate Tie Rod Ends from Steering Knuckles. Take away mounting bolts for rack and pinion, afterwards undoing shaft coupling between intermediate journal of rack & pinion with pins going through it. Finally, remove right side rack assembly.
