To disassemble the fuel pump/fuel level sensor module, start by removing it from the vehicle and placing it on a clean workbench surface. Then, disconnect the fuel level sensor connector at the top of the module and detach the connector housing from the bottom of the fuel pump cover by disengaging the locking tab with a small screwdriver. Next, remove the fuel level sensor unit by depressing the locking tab and sliding it out of the slots on the module. To reassemble, simply slide the fuel level sensor unit back into place until you hear a click, ensuring that the float arm is correctly aligned. Verify that the float lays flat on a flat horizontal surface. Finally, installation is the reverse of removal.
