Q:
How do you remove fuel injectors and Fuel Rail for Buick Enclave,Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia? Posted by Customer
A:
To remove the fuel injectors, start by relieving the fuel system pressure and disconnecting the negative battery terminal. Then, remove the upper intake manifold and disconnect the fuel supply line and electrical connectors for the main fuel injector harness and each injector. Remove the fuel rails and injectors as an assembly, and release the fuel injector retaining clips to remove each injector. Install the new upper and lower O-rings on the injectors, coat them with clean engine oil, and insert them into the fuel rail. Install the injectors and fuel rail assembly onto the intake manifold, tighten the mounting bolts, and reconnect the negative battery terminal. Turn the ignition switch to ON to activate the fuel pump and check for fuel leaks. To install the new Teflon seals on the injectors, use the special tools included in the injector tool set or follow the alternative method using a socket and plastic tubing. Finally, install the support ring, upper O-ring, compensation element, and retaining ring on each injector, and install the injectors in the cylinder head. Install the fuel rail, tighten the mounting bolts, and complete the remaining installation steps, including reconnecting the high-pressure fuel line and installing a new fuel pressure sensor.
