    Q:
How to remove and install a Fuel Pressure Sensor on Cadillac CTS? Posted by Customer
    A:
Remove the fuel tank filler cap to relieve fuel tank pressure. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. For 3.0L and 3.6L V6 engines, remove the engine covers and the suspension crossbrace. On 3.6L models, remove the intake manifold and the foam insulator. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor. Unscrew the sensor from the fuel rail. Note: Have rags ready to catch any fuel that is remaining in the fuel rail. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the sensor. For 6.2L V8 engines, raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Block the front wheels to keep the vehicle from rolling. Locate the sensor in the fuel line to the right of the tank. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor. Wrap a rag around the sensor and unscrew the sensor from the fuel line. Apply a small amount of engine oil to the new O-ring, then install the O-ring and sensor. Tighten the sensor.
